Frequently asked questions
Is this IQ test really free?
Yes. You can take the full test, the quick test and the Mensa-style test and see your score, percentile and skill breakdown without paying or signing up. Premium adds more tests, all explanations and the coach.
How accurate is an online IQ test?
Our tests are scored with item response theory, the method used by modern professional tests, and every score comes with a 90% range. But an online test is not a clinical assessment: use it as a good estimate and for practice.
What is an average IQ score?
IQ scores are set so that the average is 100 and the standard deviation 15. About two thirds of people score between 85 and 115, and about 2% score 130 or higher.
Can I improve my IQ score?
Practice makes you faster and more familiar with the question types, which usually raises test scores — especially on timed tests. Our practice section and coach target the types you miss most.
Is this an official Mensa test?
No. Our Mensa-style test uses the same kinds of non-verbal questions to help you prepare, but only a supervised test approved by Mensa can be used for admission.
